As we look at promoting writing in the primary grades, we as teacher must understand our students as writers. we must be able to get our students from point A to point B, while monitoring their progress purposefully.
In order to teach writing we must make sure that the environment that the students are writing in is suitable to foster creativity.
after observing a student engaged in the writing process, it is clear that we most promote writing in every aspect and accurately and purposefully assess them to acquire where our student stand as writers.
Hello Renee, Once again we agree that as educators we all have to continuously assess our students so that we will be able to help them where necessary and then they in turn will become great writers.
ReplyDeleteHi Renee, we most certainly agree that as their future teachers we have to assess our students in a continuous manner so that they will be able to critique the work of their peers as well. This will stem from us modelling what good writing assessors do and our students will become motivated and confident to write even better pieces.
