WRITING AND THE READING ,WRITING CONNECTION

You learn to write better by reading. you learn to read better by writing. reading and writing work together to improve your ability to think. IN this aspect of the course we focused on the connection between reading and writing. we were asked to choose random story book and asked to state all the thing we could teach from this one book. i was amazed to say the least at the numerous lesson that could be taught from one single storybook.mind blowing omg GIF by GIPHY Studios Originals i never looked at a storybook from that aspect of teaching Grammar or vocab. we also looked at different types of writing styles such as formal, imformal and casual just to name a few.
these aspects will be implemented into to my daily lessons when teaching my students.

  1. Hi Renee, i certainly agree with you when you say that once you read you will become a better writer. It is very important that we as teachers provide our students with the opportunities to read and write and ultimately connect them.

  2. Hello Renee, Connecting reading and writing is most certainly important. We as educators have to provide our students with much needed practice and strategies in order to do so as well. We are the foundation teachers who will and can do this. Let's begin from practicum!
